My name is Bayan Galal. As an Egyptian-American woman, and a person of color, I have only been able to accomplish many things because others advocated for people like me. I pay that debt forward to future generations by focusing on delivering results, not noise.

At Yale, I've served in YCC as a two-year senator and executive board member. As Health Policy Chair, I secured COVID-19 testing reimbursements + free PPE kits for off-campus students. But there’s plenty more to do. Yale’s not healthy. My platform is built on rethinking health at Yale to include well-being in ALL aspects of our lives.

Zoe + I will focus on five pillars that we think will help us reach that goal. But we can’t do it alone + need you to step up for Yale’s check up.

Meet Zoe Hsu '24

Candidate for YCC Vice-President

Zoe is running for YCC Vice President in order to continue fighting for equitable change.

As Equity Chair, Senator, and Asian Affinity Network Co-Founder and Co-Leader, she prioritized socioeconomic health at Yale, especially for her fellow FGLI and BIPOC students. Among her many community initiatives, she established the inaugural textbook stipends program, advocated for YSS, SEA, and Summer Credit policy reform, created a leave of absence mentorship database, and organized mental health training certification for students—all as a first-year.

As women of color in STEM and government, Bayan + Zoe will bring transparent change with well-rounded ideas.
